We will find that the history of Knight Automotive and Performance L.L.C. would have it's beginnings around 1981. Bill was 10 years old and became interested in automobiles while helping his Uncle Sonny who was a stockcar driver. Performing the most basic of tasks,Bill learned the importance of cleaning, inspecting and replacing necessary components on a vehicle. When Bill turned 13 his father purchased a 1957 Chevrolet and so began the process of learning about the inner workings of the internal combustion engine. By the time he was 16 he had built multiple engines for friends and family members. After attending Hammond Area Career Center his final 2 years of high school, Bill was off to Wyoming Technical Institue for 6 more months of education.

Upon returning from Wyoming, Bill secured a position at a local Chrysler dealership where he continued on his path of automoblie education. After 5 years of service a better offer presented itself and Bill moved on to a local Dodge dealer for the next 10 years. With dealerships losing out to smaller shops when it came to maintenance and repair work and customers being treated like numbers, it was time to cash in the 401k and start a business. Bill's lifelong friend, Darren, stepped up to help and Knight Automotive and Performance L.L.C. was born in a tiny little 3 car shop in Crown Point, Indiana. As of December, 2010, Knight Automotive moved to it's 3rd location and had 6 full-time employees. The goal of the business is to serve it's customers faithfully and with integrity for the next 30 years.
